Water management systems

Water is rarely just one part of an industrial or mining operation. It needs to be captured, moved, treated, reused and, where required, safely discharged, often across several connected stages.

Aqua Energy Group designs and builds engineered water management systems that bring these requirements together. That covers mine dewatering, industrial water treatment, water recycling, chemical dosing and hydro power. We look at the complete water cycle rather than treating each requirement as a standalone system.

Our team can design, supply, manufacture, install and commission the infrastructure around your site’s conditions. The result is an efficient water management system built to run reliably and meet your operational and regulatory requirements.

The Water Cycle

One site, one water system

On a real mine or industrial site, water moves through several stages. It may start as groundwater or water collected in a pit, then be pumped, treated and reused within the operation. Chemicals may be added where a process needs specific water quality, and any water leaving the site must meet its discharge conditions.

The opportunity is in making these stages work together. Aqua Energy Group can connect dewatering, water treatment, water recycling, pumping, dosing and control into one integrated water management system. Considering the complete water cycle helps operators make better use of available water resources, manage water quality and reduce water consumption. Every stage is designed around the site’s operational and regulatory requirements.

What we design and build

Every site has different water requirements, so each system is designed for the application. Aqua Energy Group designs and builds water management systems around how water needs to move, be treated, reused or controlled across the operation.

From industrial water treatment plants and mine dewatering to wash water recycling, chemical dosing and hydro power, we bring the right equipment and infrastructure together for each site.

Industrial and containerised water treatment plants

When water needs treating before it’s used, reused or discharged, the right approach depends on the water source, its quality and what the site needs to achieve. Aqua Energy Group designs and builds industrial water treatment plants for process water, potable water and wastewater treatment.

Our containerised plants offer a compact, transportable option when you need treatment capacity quickly or space is limited. Each plant is designed around the site’s water supply, treatment requirements and operating conditions. This helps improve water availability, use resources efficiently, and support long-term water security.

Walkway and pontoon management systems

Water stored in dams, tailings storages and reservoirs still needs safe access for operation, maintenance and monitoring. Aqua Energy Group designs and builds floating walkways, gangways, and pontoon platforms that provide permanent access to intakes, pumps, and monitoring points as water levels rise and fall.

Each system is engineered around the storage, its water level range and the equipment it supports, with mine-compliant designs available where required. Paired with our pontoon pump stations, they help sites manage water supply and water quality from a stable, safe working platform.

Reagent and flocculant dosing plants

Getting water treatment right often comes down to how consistently you manage the process. Reagents and flocculants help bind fine solids so they settle out, improving water quality and treatment outcomes. They need to be added at the right rate for the application.

Aqua Energy Group designs reagent and flocculant dosing plants that add these chemicals at controlled rates as part of the wider treatment process. Each plant is built around the application, with dosing equipment, pumps, chemical storage, automation and monitoring included where required. Operators get greater control over water quality and treatment performance, and a process that’s more reliable and easier to run.

Hydro power modules

Water moving through existing infrastructure can offer a chance to recover energy that would otherwise go unused. Aqua Energy Group designs hydro power modules for sites where available flow and pressure can generate power, such as transfer lines, gravity mains and dam outlets.

We assess the existing water infrastructure, available flow and operating conditions to see how hydro power could fit into the wider system. Bringing water management and energy generation together helps sites make better use of existing resources and supports more sustainable operations.

Mine dewatering systems

Efficient mine water management starts with understanding where water comes from, where it needs to go, and how quickly it needs to move. Water is a vital resource, and it has to be managed alongside the operational and environmental challenges of mining. Our mine dewatering pumps and supporting systems manage groundwater, rainfall and accumulated water across underground and open-cut operations. They help keep working areas safe and productive while supporting conservation efforts.

We consider the site’s pumping requirements, water quality, discharge conditions and water distribution to develop a reliable solution. Where required, sensors and real-time monitoring give operators better visibility of system performance and changing site conditions. That data supports informed decisions, reduces unnecessary water movement, and can identify opportunities for significant savings over the system’s life.

Wash water recycling and treatment

Vehicle and equipment washdown can use a large amount of water, particularly on busy mining, industrial and infrastructure sites. Aqua Energy Group designs wash water recycling and treatment systems that capture and treat used wash water for reuse where suitable.

Treatment matches the level of contamination and the water quality needed for reuse. This helps reduce freshwater demand, manage wastewater and lower water consumption. Paired with our vehicle wash systems, it forms a closed-loop wash operation.

Evidence

Delivered water management projects

Our experience spans complex water management projects across mining, industrial, infrastructure and renewable energy environments. Each project brings different requirements for water quality, flow, treatment, reuse, dosing and site operation. Our approach starts with understanding the broader system, then designing the solution around it.
