Demucking System for Plant Hire Companies

Background – Aqua Energy was awarded a turnkey installation
for a Demucking System. This customised solution is used to
Demuck a plant hire fleet after returning from hire. Using this
wheel wash system, the hire company can have equipment cleaned using
the auto wash equipment in minutes, not hours as previously
encountered ensuring either maintenance functions can be
performed in a timely manner or plant returned to hire the next
day, in lieu of days to weeks when needing to hand wash each
piece of plant.

Supplied Equipment – The customised closed loop recycling demucking solution is in three parts; the initial wash cycle allows for the demucking of heavily soiled plant whilst the operator remains in the machine, the secondary wash hoses enable final touches to areas as required, and then followed by a final freshwater rinse cycle. The recycle tank utilises a biodegradable flocculant additive to assist in settling the solids out of the water allowing for ease of maintenance with existing plant.

Future Options – Extension bars can be added to the
Demucking System to enable the wash cycle to reach the
extremities of the equipment to remove any additional build
up of spoil in these areas. The truck washer system can also be modified
to allow for open cab plant to be used, with the spray system
angles adjusted via the on-board control system. Operation of
the system can also be modified from opto-sensor to magnetic
sensor to remote control depending on the site specifics..

Return on Investment – Returning plant to hire the next day increases the business cash flow and improves plant utilisation, assisting in deferring the capital purchase of additional plant.
